A historic center of the most beautiful in Europe characterized by a strong imprint eighteenth century result of the important and valuable work of many architects, masons and master builders who made it reemerge after the terrible earthquake that struck the Noto Valley in the late seventeenth century. Named World Heritage in 2002, this city is a masterpiece to be admired in its entirety.

Noto itinerary

The visit starts from the Royal Gate, which leads into the living city, Corso Vittorio Emanuele passing the city from east to west. The main street of Noto is rich in important civil and religious monuments, we will admire the beautiful church of St. Francis Immaculate and the imposing Benedictine Monastery of the Savior, continuing for the course on the left will meet the church of Santa Chiara with adjoining former convent. Nearby is the grandiose Town Hall Square, the center of Noto where the most representative monuments: the Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Ducezio Palace, seat of municipal district Noto. On the right stands the church of SS. Salavatore. We continue in via Nicolaci where you can admire one of the most magnificent buildings in the city: Nicolaci Palace Villadorata. We will finish the tour in Piazza XVI Maggio, where you will find the villa Hercules, the harmonious church of St. Dominic with the adjoining convent and the Theatre Vittorio Emanuele.

There are plenty of attractions that Noto offers, such as "L'Infiorata" an event that takes place only once a year, on the third Sunday of May, a festival of colors and flowers that greets spring in one of the most scenic places of the city, street Nicolaci.
